Professional and Amateur Roping at WestStar |
 WestStar hosts an open roping every summer. August 2007, was our fifth year with this event. With a purse of $90,000 in cash and prizes, the competition was tough for the ropers and exciting for the spectators. If you weren't able to last year, stop by to see the Best of the Best on August 27, 2008!
On the same day as our summer open, amateur ropers are given the opportunity to rope with the pros. Professional headers are teamed up with amateur heelers and vice versa. Each competitor is given a glossy photo of him or herself with pro partner and the opportunity to win one of WestStar's custom prizes, which include saddles, buckles, and blankets.
